As part of our LeadYoung Training Systems, we've developed an executive caliber training curriculum for grades 8-12 called LeadWell.  Dr. Nelson is a regular columnist in Student Leadership Activities magazine (published by NASSP) and stays aware of what is going on in the field of student leadership development.  He saw the need for a dynamic program that focused on competency and confidence methodologies, based on teen age- and-stage developmental factors. Click HERE to apply. 

LeadWell curriculum includes a combination of training activities as in LeadNow, but with a master leadership project plan called S.U.C.C.E.S.S.  The result of this project is real world experience where teens implement their plans.  Teens also learn how to give and receive healthy feedback, preparing them for a lifetime of continual leadership improvement.  The curriculum is included in the 1-day intensive for LeadNow, but can be done as a stand-alone, 3-hour, live webinar.

LeadWell curriculum is also based on the 16 key leader qualities, divided into four, 12-15 hour modules that can be used during or after school as 8 ninety-minute sessions or 16 forty-five minute sessions, perfect for daytime electives.  The Emerald Module released January 1, 2012. Gold, Sapphire and Ruby will release throughout 2012.  First module materials include a binder, concept cards, 238-page LeadYoung book, handouts, SUCCESS manual and completion pin. Second module includes similar handouts, completion pin, and LeadWell portfolio and pen.  Third module includes handouts, completion pin, and LeadWell shirt.  Fourth module includes handouts, completion pin, 6" chenille letter "L" (as pictured below), and framed completion certificate.  Top universities and employers love seeing leadership training on your applications.
