"Children are wet cement."

Psychologists tell us that a person's character is pretty
much set by adolescence.  That is why preteen leadership training is so important.

If you want to change the world, focus on leaders.
If you want to change leaders, focus on them when they’re young.

Click here to take our FREE Social Influence Survey, to assess your child's observable leadership aptitude.  Parents receive an automated report and key for explaining it.  Let your friends and neighbors know about this amazing resource.

/files/Pictures/LeadYoung_logo.jpgWhat do you do when you see leadership ability in a child, preteen or teen? Until now, you’ve pretty much had to wait until s/he became an adult, since formal leadership development typically begins between the ages of 25-34. But now there are LeadYoung Training Systems, the only executive level leadership training programs designed specifically for ages 2-25. Our primary focus is on ages 10-13 right now, but very soon, we'll be introducing curriculum for teens and 2-9 year olds.  Click HERE for a brochure on these age and stage systems.

Approximately 10-20% of children have natural, observable organizational leadership qualities. Another 60% have some degree of latent potential, allowing them to learn skills of influence. LeadYoung is not a kids' program emphasizing leadership, but rather a leadership program targeting leaders when they are most moldable. We have character-based curriculum for schools and civic groups and a faith-based version for churches and Christian schools.

How it works: KidLead certifies trainers to use the LeadNow (for ages 10-13) & LeadWell (ages 14-18) program materials, consisting of 4 training modules, each of involving 8 experiential club sessions lasting 90-minutes.  Adults apply to become Certified Trainers.  Once accepted, they pay a one-time fee for a 1-day, concentrated training and then are equipped to run their own LeadNow training club.  (Discounts offered to non-profits.) Trainers are independent agents, but usually align with organizations that serve preteens, such as schools, churches, civic groups, and after school program providers. Qualified applicants interested in LeadWell (for ages 14-18) can be certified through a 3-hour online training webinar & video.

Parents apply for their 10-13 year old to participate, which involves a single application and 2 Social Influence Surveys.  A part of LeadNow's and LeadWell's effectiveness is based on the leadership aptitude of the participants.  If invited to join, a participant fee is paid per module, established by the trainer.  This includes the 12-hours of training and materials, plus LeadNow includes 3-hours of parent training. KidLead is a non-profit, educational organization committed to raising effective, ethical leaders, by focusing on them when they are still pliable. We partner with organizations that work with kids and are serious about providing world-class training, based on some of the best in adult leadership programs. The curriculum is only available through certified trainers and is not an off-the-shelf caliber of resource.
